I am proud to be a NATURALIZED CITIZEN of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. I served in the US ARMY from 1976 to 1984. I were HONORABLY DISCHARGE. I am now a 100% DISABLED AMERICAN VETERAN. I have seeing all of AUDIE Leon MURPHY Movies, to the one where he acted as himself. I have always like him as a Movie Star, eventhough when he accomplish all those medals I were not born as yet, but while I was in Advanced Individual Training in Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana I read his history of how he rose from a Private on the Battle Field to obtain his Promotion to CAPTAIN. Please keep his memory alive. Honestly Sincere! NORMAN Roberto LINDO SERGEANT Retired, US ARMY 100% Disabled American Veteran Added: March 17, 2011

As a Brit what I know about Audie Murphy was discovered down the years from seeing his movies and reading the odd scrap of information. So, it has been a joy to read the detail of his exploits. America should be proud of this man for what he achieved on our behalf. Sadly though, in this age of rampant political correctness, men like Audie Murphy will be rejected and the things he fought for viewed as a mistake. From one Brit, Thank you Audie Murphy! My Dearest Audie,
The day I was called to meet you,and bring my handicapped son to meet you, was the greatest day in my life. I had already seen "To Hell and Back." and after meeting you, could hardly believe all you went through, and were still a very important person, living a routine life. I know this is late in coming, but I do wish to thank you, first for your service to our country, and second for the meeting of my son. Meeting you, inspired my son, Rick, to achieve many things that he thought he could not do. Rick was a spastic cerebral palsy child. THANK YOU, for that, and your service to our country in WWII. Rest in Peace, Dear one. You deserve it.
God Bless you and yours.
Arl
