He was my hero growing up and my favorite movie star. I've seen "To Hell and Back" at least 15 times. It's good that this website exists.

Wish I clould have met him. My dad was ww2 veteran served in the pacific theater. My hat goes off to all the veterans espically the ww2 vets. Rest in peace audie.

I admired Audie Murphy, when, as a child, I watched his films, but his service during the war marked him out as a true American Hero who should not be forgotten.
