audie to me was the best of the best in his era! even in his movies he was the best and you could see it the way he handled himself throughout his career. I was in the NAVY SEABEES M C B #3 in 1958 and i really enjoy his war movies but his cowboy movies are my favorite ones to watch. this is a good site keep up the good work... Many years ago I had the honor to stand at the grave site of Audie Murphy at Arlington. Even years after his death I felt so much pride that a man could give so much for his country. My profound hope is we never forget what he did, and to remember his story and his life. Added: April 20, 2013 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts

I had never heard of Audie Murphy until referenced in Tom Clancy novel. I'm glad I looked him up; it seems he was an amazing person and soldier.
