I enjoyed his movies but being a history buff, I enjoyed visiting his museum in Greenville more than a person could believe. I left there crying, ever time I went there. I read ever letter that was in the cases, most more than once. There is not enough accolades you can place on this man. I would love to see another movie about this mans life. I have no particular person I would want to play him but I would want it to be a person of class. Not an idiot like Sean Penn. There really should be a medal just for him! Medal of Honor is just a little short of what he really deserved Added: June 5, 2014

Sometime back, you sent me four different still photos from the movie To Hell And Back, when Audie Murphy received his medal of honor.I have lost them when my computer crashed. Would it be possible to get them again? I was in the color guard, standing behind Audie , when they placed the medal on him. It took five hours to film that sequence, that lasted a few moments in the movie. I was offered a part as a German machine gunner in the film however i though that i might be better of to stay in the color guard Thank You Don Shields Staff Sargent 2ND Division US Army Added: June 2, 2014

Audie Murphy has been a hero of mine ever since I learned of his life and deeds, while studying to go before the 5th Infantry Division (M) Audie Murphy Club Board in 1991. I was subsequently inducted into The 5th ID(M) Audie Murphy Club, and then Later into the 3 Corps Audie Murphy Club. I still feel that his life and exploits are a shining example of what this country used to be and represent and that I hope one day it will again. R.I.P. Audie Added: May 29, 2014

I remember watching Audie Murphy's movies when I was younger. One of my boyfiends wouldn't let me watch them when he was around. He said it was because Audie so often played himself which he thought was egotistic. I think he was just jealous of someone who deserved the recognition Audie received. He was a very brave man who put his country first in his life. I was always inspired watching Audie's war movies! ![]() Added: May 29, 2014 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts
