Saw memorabilia about Audie Murphy years ago at the Ft. Stewart Museum. Just encountered a meme on Facebook featuring Audie Murphy, and found this page while researching information about him. Keep up the good work; he was a true American hero and deserves nothing less. Added: June 15, 2014

I met Audie Murphy when he was a guest at the Hilton Hotel in Lubbock, Texas where my mother worked. This was in the early 50's. I cant remember the exact year but i think it was 1956. I had seen a lot of his movies, especially (To Hell and Back). He has always been my hero. I visited his grave site in Arlington National Cemetery a few years ago to pay my respects. I was 13 when I met him, I'm now 71 and he is still my hero. Added: June 9, 2014

I have watched Audie's movies since I was a little girl. ''He is indeed an American Hero, not because of only what he did, but because of what he stood for as an ''American'' and a soldier. ''He's like every girls big brother.''And every woman's protector. ''May God keep blessing us with men like Audie. ''Peace and Love. Added: June 8, 2014

Audie Murphy was a true American Hero. As a boomer growing up in the post WWII era, all of my friends knew of and greatly respected his combat achievements and military awards. He served our country with distinction. Audie belonged to the greatest generation and was a true inspiration to my generation.
