I have been a huge fan of Audie since I was 10 years old (1968) and am so glad that this memorial to him has been established. He was truly 'one of a kind' and we will never see his like again. Added: September 25, 2017

Donald B. Eckman, my dad, was one of the 18 soldiers fighting the Germans with Audie Murphy on January 26, 1945 near Holtzwihr France. How can I obtain a list of all 18 soldiers who were there? My dad is 92, lives near Ionia Michigan, and was awarded an Honorary membership to the SAMC, Fort Hood. Added: September 26, 2017

I was always impressed with this man from the first time I saw To Hell and Back as a little boy. I saw an obituary in our local paper and recognized the division as being the same as Audie's so I reviewed several different web sites with information on his life and career. I am even more in awe of his strength, character, adaptability, and endurance. I am also saddened that in his era there wasn't more help for his PTSD. His quotes are among my favorites because so many of them are still spot on. Thank God we have men like this in our world even today. Added: September 15, 2017

My Dad appreciated Audie Murphy's heroism & as he earned a Bronze Star during the Korean War. As a Veteran myself, we ALL Can Protect Constitutional Rights to Freedom & Liberty.
