I caught the end of the movie "To hell and back" this afternoon which led me to Google Audie Murphy. I didn't pay much attention to the credits and to discover that Audie Murphy played himself in the movie is a lasting testament to this brave soldier and the band of brothers he served and fought with. The world needs heroes like Audie, and it's important to continue to remember such a brave generation. Added: October 2, 2017 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts

Audie Murphy is one of my heroes, and definitely one of this country's!! I remember, as a child back in the mid- to late-1960s, my mother taking me to Arlington National Cemetery to visit my grandfather's grave. But not only did we visit my Granddaddy Mills, we visited the grave of President John F. Kennedy, and that of - you guessed it - Audie Murphy! My mother introduced me to him, as it were! I've loved him as if he were my own kin ever since!! He deserves the Medal of Honor, and I'm extremely surprised he hasn't yet received it!!
