Was my hero as a child. Had a children's book about him. I was born in 1949 but he is still my hero! I have several grandchildren and I have let all them know the story of Audie Murphy.

This man is the youngest and the bravest man of the second world war, I just wished that I had the privilege of meeting him.
I watched all of his movies and I wish he made more.

Thanks :)

Audience as a child was my hero. I remember the day of his accident and was at a loss as I was 12 and my world came to one of shock as I could not believe my hero was gone. Later to relish the thought that he was always part of my life as an example of the type of MAN I wanted to be like. Thanks for being that shimmer of light in my life.
