While in JROTC during my highschool years, I was selected to be apart of the districts written competition. Sgt. Brown suggested, I write about the great Audie Murphey and I didn't have a clue. Back then there was no internet...so off to the library I went. I couldn't believe all that this man had done in battle and for America. I wrote the paper, won the competition and continued by search for knowledge on Murphy. I had gathered so much research, the school used by knowledge in every competition there was for years. His name came across my mind the other day and I searched now "the web" and saw this awesome page. It's great!

I just wanted to say I think this website is a fantastic idea. To today's generation WWII, Korea, and even Vietnam are distant memories told in history books. Sites like this that tell the true stories of American Valor are too few and far between. Keep up the great work and thanks for keeping the memory alive.

I have watch his movies since I was a child.
He was a wonderful actor and even greater soldier. He will forever be in my heart. He is the greatest example of what a man should be. Yvonne Allen

I remember Audie Murphy and I'm glad to see you have this web site. I remember him not so much as an actor but because of his service to the country.

What a hero was Audie L. Murphy.Had the honor of visiting his grave a few years ago. I just stood there in awe as tears ran down my cheeks. Rest in peace my fellow veteran. I am retired from USAF. Great web site.
