The Audie Murphy Veterans Memorial Hospital is located at 7400 Merton Mintor Street, San Antonio, Texas. It is well known within the medical profession for its innovative medical research. Its reputation includes frequently published medical research journal articles.

Just outside the main entrance to the hospital a famous 10 foot tall cast bronze statue of Audie Murphy in combat greets all visitors who approach.

At one time, the hospital was also host to many other artifacts on its first floor in the lobby area. These items were on permanent loan from the Audie Murphy family. Unfortunately, in 2011, the hospital was forced to give up its entire collection because of a need for more space. Consequently, all artifacts once found at the hospital have been transferred and now are on permanent display at the Audie Murphy / American Cotton Museum in Greenville, Texas.
