Summary:
When Seven-Ways-From-Sundown Jones, played by Audie Murphy, reports for his new job in law enforcement, he is immediately given the toughest assignment - that of bringing in the crafty, flamboyant killer known as Jim Flood, played by Barry Sullivan. To make matters worse, Seven is a novice Texas Ranger and his reputation is being tested even before he has earned it. Fortunately, veteran Texas Ranger Sergeant Hennessey is there to assist him and teach him some of the tricks of the trade. After a while, Seven becomes friends with Jim Flood without realizing who Flood really is and in the end, the murderer takes everyone by surprise. In doing so, all of Seven's new found skills will be pushed to their limits as he attempts to capture the murderer. But will the skills be enough to get the job done for Seven Ways From Sundown Jones?
